\"\"<\/a>Lost wax casting is a very ancient technique for the production of bronze statues. It is a technique based on wax\u2019s features, such as melting and \u2018evaporating\u2019 at high temperatures. The objective of process in fact is to create a model of the artist sketch that can dissolve once heated up (hence the name \u2018lost wax\u2019) and substitute the latter with melted metal that, once solidified, will make the final artwork. Here below, follows a description of all phases of melting and the methodologies in use at Fonderia Artistica Mapelli.<\/p>\n
