To create a small to medium-sized sculpture, you need to allow at least one month for production.

What are the minimum and maximum dimensions I can cast at Fonderia Artistica Mapelli?

There are no limits regarding the dimensions to consider for a casting.

Can anyone commission a casting?

Absolutely, anyone can commission a work at our Foundry, not just established artists.

Do you ship throughout Italy and abroad?

Yes, we ship worldwide.

Do you offer installation and assembly services?

Yes, we also offer installation and assembly services; our team has installed sculptures all over the world.

Is it possible to create a sculpture from a 3D file provided by the client?

Yes, once the file is received, we proceed with 3D printing using a third-party specialized company. Then, we proceed with the processing until we achieve the bronze casting.

What casting technique do you use?

To obtain the final work, we use the lost-wax casting technique.

In which materials is it possible to perform lost-wax casting?

Lost-wax casting can be performed in bronze, brass, and aluminum.

Is it possible to provide a plaster model or another material?

Yes, it is possible to provide a model in a material other than wax. Once the sketch is received, the wax will be made from it.

Can you correct or refine details after casting?

Yes, it is possible, as long as they are minor modifications.

How is the final patina created?

The patina is created through oxidation of the metal or, in some cases, with the help of colored pigments.

Is the patina permanent, or can it change over time?

The patina applied to the work can undergo alterations due to exposure to atmospheric agents.

Yes, through different techniques, it is possible to obtain a glossy, matte, or gradient finish.

Does the final work require maintenance?

Yes, especially if the work itself is exposed to atmospheric agents, which alter its color.
